The Right Mindset: All You Need?

If you spend some time on the internet doing some research for your content, you probably have stumbled on ads for aspiring entrepreneurs or entrepreneurs who want to grow their business.

More and more, we hear about having the right mindset. The right mindset to have success, the right mindset to attract money, the right mindset for everything.

But is having the right mindset the answer to everything?

The short answer is no. Having the right mindset will not magically make your perfect life appear or make your problems disappear.

It takes much more to reach your goals than having the right mindset.

Let’s explore a bit.

Where does having the right mindset come from?

Have you heard of the law of attraction? If you are not a believer of this law, this might be hard to hear: having the right mindset comes from the law of attraction.

The first reference of the law was in a russian book in 1877.

You can read more in this article on Wikipedia

Let me tell you this: Napoleon Hill, in his best selling book Think and Grow Rich, talks about the law of attraction without ever telling it’s name, because it’s a secret that will be revealed to you when you are ready…

I have listened to the 10 hours audiobook at least 7 times. What hit me is that Napoleon was always broke and trying new things to get rich and that he never wanted to get paid when he got to work with the president and other important people.

Now, Bob Proctor, Tony Robbins, Grant Cardone and many others are big fans of the work of Napoleon Hill. So they teach the law of attraction in their own way.

It always comes down to the same thing: having the right mindset.

I do have a problem with Napoleon Hill. Since some of what he talks about didn’t seem to be right, I did some research and I found some very interesting information.

I found out that he was a con artist. You can read more about it in this article.

And you can watch this interesting video:

I’m not feeling safe knowing that the most influential people use his teaching to make money.

I invite you to watch this video:

Make up your mind, read the book, read the article about Napoleon, watch the videos, and see the patterns happening with all the billionaires.

I also have a problem when they say that nobody wants a small life. Really? What is wrong with a small life?

I really feel like they are getting arrogants and that they are shaming people for not having money but then asking the same people to pay thousands $$ to join their programs…

From there, let’s move on with the right mindset.

Why is it important to have the right mindset?

So, of course, there are thoughts that can prevent you from doing something. Some people are overthinkers and see only the negative in everything.

Of course, if you are investing a couple hundred dollars to learn how to earn money on the internet and you have someone telling you that it’s not going to work, you are going to fail..you may find it harder to stay motivated.

If you are the negative thinker, please! Do something about it! It’s energy draining!

So the only time having the right mindset is important, is when you need to believe you can achieve something. If you think you are going to fail, trust me, you have 99,8% chances of failing.

There is still a slight chance of having extreme good luck and succeeding unexpectedly. You never know!

Keep in mind that you still have to be realistic. Don’t fall into the optimistic trap. Be ready for when things won’t go as expected. Chances are, they won’t.

You don’t need pink glasses to have the right mindset. Having the right mindset is wanting to improve your life and working for it.

Some ways give faster results than others. Blogging doesn’t give fast results. You need tons of patience before you get some results.

You can find tons of ways to earn money, not only online, not only with Facebook ads, not only with dropshipping. If you can find something that suits your personality, you will most likely stick to it and get results.

Sometimes, you will need some training to get started, which brings me to..

Be aware of courses that focus only on mindset

Because mindset isn’t everything. You need to learn new skills. You need to develop them. That doesn’t happen overnight and it doesn’t happen because you have the right mindset.

Self-help is a big industry. There are good things and bad things happening there just like in every other industry.

If you have self-esteem issues, you may want to consider hiring a psychologist to help you overcome that.

Not just a life coach. I know, they are everywhere nowadays. Even though they can be easily accessible, they can help you get started, but you will eventually need more.

So the courses that teach you how to become successful and how to earn 6-figures in one year mostly focus on your mindset. One of the reasons is that it isn’t measurable, so you can’t complain that it didn’t work.

And if you do complain that it doesn’t work, you will be told that you are not working hard enough. It never ends. So, in the end, it’s your fault if it doesn’t work.

I don’t totally agree with that. Some people take longer to be good at a new skill they learned, some are good after just a few tries. So if everyone is different, why offer a solution that supposedly works for everyone?

And why shame the people who are not getting expected results in an expected period of time? If it takes you two years instead of two months, you have still accomplished something great.

In Conclusion

Having the right mindset isn’t everything. You need skills and patience to go with it.

That trio will help you with your make money online journey.

Don’t feel ashamed if you don’t get the results people are getting in the testimonials. These can be fake. Even the people in the Facebook group can be paid to show fake results. Be careful with what you see.

Compare the progress you made from the day you started, not with other people.

Let’s Get Started!
